BRAVA heat pants are bitch dog’s ’underwear’. Pants have a small pocket for a sanitary towel. Heat pants protect any surfaces and home textiles from heat stains or urinary problems.

BRAVA heat pants are made of breathable and moisture-proof softshell material. These pants open up all the way around and are easy to put on. BRAVA pants have an adjustable rubber band on both sides. As the pants open up from the back also the tail opening opens up completely making it practical for any type of tail.

We recommend to use a disposable sanitary towel or just a paper towel in the fishnet pocket inside the pantsPlease remember to replace the sanitary towel often!

Wash: in 30 degrees. The softshell material dries very quickly.

Please see the table below for measurements and referential breed recommendations for BRAVA heat pants.

Please note that the breed recommendations in the size chart are for reference only. It's important to measure your own dog as there are individual differences even between same breed dogs.

Using heat pants
Familiarise your dog to wearing pants before her first heat; open the Velcro tape on both sides, and place the dog's tail through the gap first. Ensure that the Velcro is securely fastened to a suitable tightness around the waist. To increase comfort, place a disposable sanitary or paper towel in the inner pocket, and remember to replace it frequently.

What does the heat mean?  The heat of the bitch dog can also be referred as rutting time. When the dog becomes sexually mature and fertile around the age of 6-8 months, the rutting time begins. First signs of the heat time are an increasing need to urinary marking and an increased interest to other dog’s imprints. A Bitch dog's urine has a scent that signals the breeding possibility to other dogs.

The heat time lasts around 3-4 weeks and comes back again after 6-8 months depending on the dog. The heat time continues until old age, but normally gets weaker and less often.
